Shipping policy

Where we ship

United States and Canada, as standard. For anywhere else, write to hello@teakwa.com and we will quote the route.

What you pay

The price on the product page is the price to your door. Import duties, taxes and delivery for the United States and Canada are included. There is nothing to pay on arrival.

How long it takes

Nothing is built until you order it.


  • Smaller pieces — side tables, mirrors, shelves — approximately 3–4 weeks, sent by express air freight.

  • Statement pieces — consoles, sideboards, cabinets, dining and coffee tables — approximately 8–12 weeks, sent by sea freight.


Lead times begin from the date of order and cover carving, drying, finishing and transit.

What "to your door" means

Your piece arrives crated and protected, and the carrier brings it to your door — the entrance of your home or building. Bringing it inside, unpacking it and positioning it are yours to do.


  • Plan for two people on anything larger than a side table. Solid teak is heavier than it looks.

  • Photograph the outside of the crate before you open it. It makes any claim straightforward.

  • Keep the crate until you are satisfied with the piece.

  • Measure first — doorways, corridors, stairwells and lifts, against the dimensions on the product page.


If your piece needs to reach somewhere a crate cannot easily follow — a fourth-floor walk-up, a narrow staircase, a room at the back of a house — write to us before you order and we will quote an inside delivery honestly.

Before it ships

We send photographs at key stages — timber selected, carving underway, finish applied — and a final set before the piece is crated. Nothing ships unseen.

Delays

Hand carving is not a predictable process and sea freight is not a punctual one. If your piece is going to be late we will tell you as soon as we know, with a revised date. We would rather deliver a piece that is right than one that is quick.

Risk and title

Risk passes to you on delivery, not on despatch. If it does not arrive, or arrives damaged, that is ours to resolve.
