Two river stones, carved in solid teak, balanced beneath a floating slab. The Batu Console holds the quiet tension of a cairn — mass stacked on mass, polished until the grain flows like water over rock. It grounds an entryway without saying a word.

What happens after you order

1. You have 72 hours to change your mind, refunded in full.
2. Timber is selected and your maker assigned — we send you a photograph.
3. Carving, then four to six weeks in the kiln, dried to 10% moisture and logged.
4. Final photographs before crating. Nothing ships unseen.
5. Delivered to your door — crated, protected and duty-paid. Bringing it inside and unpacking it are yours; plan for two people.

Before you order

• Measure your access. This piece is 140cm long — check doorways, stairwells and lifts. Listed dimensions are nominal, with a tolerance of about ±2cm on hand-made work.
• Expect variation. Every piece is cut from a different tree. Grain, colour and figure will differ from these photographs; the design and the standard of finish will not.
• Nothing to pay on arrival. Import duties, taxes and delivery to your door are included in the price. See Delivery for exactly what that covers.

Care

Dust it. Re-oil once or twice a year with a natural furniture oil. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators and vents. Looked after, solid teak outlives the person who bought it.
