The Bulan Nesting Tables

Bulan — Indonesian for "moon."

Two soft-edged tops on tapered conical bases, set at different heights so they slide past one another like moons crossing. One in pale stone, one in dark walnut-toned teak — a light and a shadow. Use them together in front of a sofa, or apart at either end of a room.

What happens after you order

1. You have 72 hours to change your mind, refunded in full.
2. Timber and stone are selected and your maker assigned — we send you a photograph.
3. Carving and turning, then four to six weeks in the kiln, dried to 10% moisture and logged.
4. Final photographs before crating. Nothing ships unseen.
5. Delivered to your door — crated, protected and duty-paid. Bringing it inside and unpacking it are yours; the stone-topped table is heavy, so plan for two people.

Before you order

• Sold as a pair. The two heights are designed to pass one another — they read as a set. Single tables by request.
• The stone top is natural. Veining and tone vary piece to piece and cannot be matched to a sample. Honed and sealed, but stone is porous — wipe spills promptly.
• Nothing to pay on arrival. Import duties, taxes and delivery to your door are included in the price. See Delivery for exactly what that covers.

Care

Re-oil the teak once or twice a year. Wipe the stone with a barely damp cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner — avoid vinegar, citrus and abrasives. Keep both out of prolonged direct sunlight.
