The Ombak Coffee Table

Ombak — Indonesian for "wave."

A wave caught mid-break. The Ombak's top pours over its edge and fans into a pleated curl of solid wood — one continuous gesture, carved so the grain rides the curve. From the sofa it reads as sculpture; up close, as weeks of a master's hand.

What happens after you order

1. You have 72 hours to change your mind, refunded in full.
2. Timber is selected and your maker assigned — we send you a photograph.
3. Carving, then four to six weeks in the kiln, dried to 10% moisture and logged.
4. Final photographs before crating. Nothing ships unseen.
5. Delivered to your door — crated, protected and duty-paid. Bringing it inside and unpacking it are yours; plan for two people.

Before you order

• Measure your access. 130cm long — check doorways and stairwells. Listed dimensions are nominal, with a tolerance of about ±2cm on hand-made work.
• Expect variation. The curl is carved by hand from a single mass, so no two waves break identically. Grain and colour will differ from these photographs; the design and the standard of finish will not.
• Nothing to pay on arrival. Import duties, taxes and delivery to your door are included in the price. See Delivery for exactly what that covers.

Care

Dust it. Re-oil once or twice a year with a natural furniture oil. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators and vents.
